Meet Valentino – Your Perfect Valentine!

Born on November 17, 2024, this little Border Collie/Lab mix is as sweet as his name! Valentino is a fuzzy ball of love who will steal your heart the moment you meet him. He adores following his people around, playing with other dogs, and curling up for the best snuggles.

Crate trained – Sleeps all night like a champ!
Potty training in progress – No accidents yet!
Loves to cuddle & be held – Gives the best hugs!
Dog-friendly & playful – Would love a furry sibling!
Up to date on vaccinations & microchipped

While he can be a little picky with food, we don’t mind making sure he gets something yummy – just look at that face! Valentino is also working on basic obedience and is eager to keep learning.

If you're looking for a loving, playful, and oh-so-snuggly pup, Valentino is available for adoption through Haven to Home!

Apply today and give Valentino his forever home!

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR OUR FLUFFY

We can't guarantee Valentino's Parentage.

BREED :  Mother appears to be a Border Collie. His absentee Dad is assumed to be a lab/husky mix.

SIZE:   We can NOT predict the size of these dogs.  Safe to say – 40-60 lbs.  Please don’t apply if size is a factor in your decision.  Our goal is to never have to re-home our dogs—especially because they didn’t grow to expectations.

THEY POOP AND PEE A LOT:  Be prepared.
Typically, a puppy can control their bladder one hour for every month of age. So if your puppy is 2 months old, they can hold it for about two hours. Don't go longer than this between bathroom breaks or they're likely to have an accident.

HE WILL SHED A LOT; DO YOU HAVE A GOOD SWEEPER

IF you work away from home—you will need a patient care giver for your new addition in your absence.

Valentino absolutely need training, exercise, and commitment to grooming.

This fluffy pup can give the right owner many wonderful years of companionship and love; but it will be a full time commitment.

It is the responsibility of puppy adopters to continue and complete the puppy shot/maintenance protocols.  Valentino has had his first puppy vaccine and has been dewormed (you may have to continue follow up on deworming).

Valentino will need at least two more boosters and a rabies vaccine in the coming weeks with boosters again yearly.  Your vet may recommend other vaccines in the future; such as lyme, influenza etc.

You MUST sign a contract agreeing to have your puppy spayed/neutered at an age recommended by your veterinarian.  You must provide Haven to Home with proof of SPAY/NEUTER at an agreed upon date in the future.

ASK yourself:

  • Can I afford to have my puppy spayed/neutered?
  • This dog may live to be 15-20 years old. Do I really want to make this possible lifetime commitment?
  • If my pet gets sick or injured can I afford the medical treatment? (In some cases this could be for the duration of my pet's life.)
  • Am I home enough to give this pet the proper attention and training that it needs?
  • What will I do with the dog if we go away on vacation?
  • Can I afford the adoption fee?
  • Can I afford the cost of monthly flea and heartworm preventative?

If you are STILL interested in adopting one of our pups :) please submit an application.  Our rescue dogs are placed in homes based on the best possible match for dog and human.
