Buddy is a 13-year-old Lhasa Apso with 23 pounds of equal parts sweet, spunk, and "get off my lawn" energy. He came to one of our foster homes after his elderly human could no longer care for him and his canine sister (Malva). Malva, the younger whippersnapper at 8 years old, got scooped up quickly. Buddy? Well, he's still holding court with a pack of little dogs and tolerating their nonsense... mostly.

His hearing isn’t what it used to be (selective, we suspect), and yes—he enjoys a solid nap schedule, thank you very much!  If he were a human, Buddy would be wearing bi-focals and sometimes sporting "depends" but a pee pad laid in front of the door usually does nicely. He's got that classic Lhasa-tude: a bit grouchy, a bit grumbly, but every now and then he’ll grace you with a request for a belly rub. You’ll know when. You will be told.

Buddy is available for adoption, or through a special sponsorship arrangement where Haven to Home keeps ownership and handles all expenses for the rest of his golden years.
