Sophie is a 12 year old Bichon. She lost her home because of some tragic circumstances of her humans and they were no longer able to care for her.

When our volunteer picked her up, Sophie first met her dogs and did great! (See Video of her playing in the yard with her new young friends.) Sophie then went to a foster home where she is living harmoniously with an older JRT.

She is house trained, but is being crated in her foster home for the first couple days. Her foster mom says she can't believe that Sophie is 12 years old; she is very active and playful. Sophie is a little bit over weight, but that doesn't slow her down. With the improved diet she is on and added activitiy, she'll be trimmer and fit in no time!

Her foster mom adds: Sophie is very food motivated and wants to please her humans. She doesn't jump on furniture and does well in her crate when nobody is home. She sleeps through the night and has adjusted well to her foster home. She only barks when she has to go out or when she sees human food. She is super friendly and a well-behaved girl!

Sophie is a happy little girl who loves car rides, other dogs, and people. She is looking for a forever home that will appreciate her charming personality and give her a stable, loving home for her retirement years.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
