Bekka is a pretty girl who is approximately two years old. Her previous owner said they were told she is Shar Pei/Pittie mix. Bekka was passed from home to home and was abandoned when the owner moved out leaving Bekka behind with people who didn't care for her. Some wonderful neighbors cared for Bekka until we were contacted for help. Bekka deserves a wonderful loving home because she has a HUGE heart. She loves everyone and craves attention. Bekka loves Belly Rubs. If you meet Bekka, you can't help but fall in love with this sweet beauty. She is presently staying at our holding kennel and happily greets volunteers with a non-stop wagging tail. Her leash manners are improving and she keeps her kennel nice and clean (no accidents). She does walk with the other dogs, but may sometimes be selective of her canine friends, seeming to prefer male dogs over other females. So far Bekka has not found a foster or forever home. She is patiently waiting for the right home. However, below is an update from a dedicated volunteer who has fallen in love with Bekka and takes her on overnight visits and day time outings (but sadly is not permitted to have pets in her current home). UPDATE from Volunteer: Bekka spent a two night retreat with me. I must say she is a very loving, affectionate little girl. She nuzzles her head on your neck as if to hug you and tell you she appreciates your kindness.
She is so eager to please all I had to do was point at the stairs and say "up" and straight up she'd go. Same held true for many commands such as; sit, lay down, come, etc. I was most surprised to find out when she was told to stay, she actually listened.
I must admit Bekka is not quite perfect. She does snore and is a bit of a bed hog. In her defense she was only trying to snuggle. Also, she is quick to want to chase any four legged creature to cross her path. So, she is best kept on a leash.
She loves car rides to no where, long moonlit walks, cuddling on the couch and she will lavish you with love and affection.
