Rueger is a 6 month old malamute puppy who came to us after being bounced around from home to home.  He is in a foster home with other dogs and he LOVES to play.  Belly Rubs, naps, and a good game of fetch are also among his favorite things.  He is a real Velcro dog, following his foster mom around the house and voicing his displeasure when she is out of sight.  He is very eager to please and loves to learn and is treat motivated.  He enjoys treat and trick time each day and learned sit, shake, and sit pretty very quickly and comes quickly when his name is called.  He also enjoys the company of his mentor/canine foster sister and is learning good house and play manners from her.

His foster mom says that his least favorite things are cats, sweepers, and time-outs.  He is crate trained and house training skills are in the works and he does go to the door to signal the need to go outside.

He is growing fast, presently around 40 pounds but does indeed look like he has a lot of growing to do to fit into his paws.   He is going to make a wonderful forever dog with some practice, perseverance, and patience.  His foster mom tells him that his adorable face and sweet personality is going to get him a lot of forgiveness with his puppy antics.  And, she adds, that he is a real pleasure to work with and watch grow.
