Simba needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
~~Simba is an older Chow (vet estimate of about 7-8 years old) that was dumped out in the frigid cold on a back road in our area. After spending more than 24 hours sitting along the road waiting for someone to come back to get him, he was picked up by one of our volunteers after we received phone calls about him and brought to our holding facility where he has been cared for by multiple volunteers. Simba had to have a tooth removed because of infection and has been completely shaved because of his matted fur. Simba now has been completely vetted and is ready for someone to give him a truly forever home. He has a gentle nature and just wants to be loved. Simba likes to bury his head in you while you scratch the top of his head. Simba is great on a leash and loves going for strolls around town. He seems fine with other dogs. He does not like getting into a vehicle, but once in the vehicle he rides well. Watch for pics of Simba's new hair cut. When it grows back he will be a very distinguished looking gentleman. Simba would do best in a home with no kids or older gentle kids.
