Hi! My name is Rupert, not RJ.  My foster mom, Kim, calls me "Roo".  She says I am a very sweet guy as long as you don't do things abruptly with me.  After all, I AM a terrier for heavens sakes.  That's how we roll.  I just have to go to a home that has a man because we understand each other.  I just love having a guy in the house that I can gravitate to--Men make me feel secure and happy.  That is what this adoption is all about right?!  Making ME happy.  Don't get me wrong, I will love love love my new owner, but I get nervous if someone grabs me too quickly or yanks me around.  I am insecure and need to know what you are doing before you do it.  My foster Mom says "I am a talker!"   Adopt me and give me a little time to settle in and you won't be sorry. Kim kisses my face, my ears, and rubs my belly.  I make little grumbles under my breath and she understands that is my way of saying I love it.  Kim gave me time to learn to trust her--she understands me!   I live with a bunch of dogs at Kim's, but I spend as much time as I can with her husband Steve.  We like our privacy!  Won't you give me a chance--take me home and love me.

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!
