Brady is a medium sized, mixed breed who was rescued from a neglectful situation and had a terrible flea infestation. He has been treated by a veterinarian, moved to a foster home, and is feeling better, although he still has some bald patches. He settled right in to a foster home with cats and children. He loves attention from the elementary age kids and gives them kisses. He has been introduced to a number of visitors in the home. Initially he barked briefly to announce the presence of a newcomer, but then is ready to make friends; sitting and waiting to be petted. He is not a jumper, doesn’t growl, and has showed no signs of aggression. He knows sit, down, roll over, come and stay, and will go right into his crate at night where he sleeps quietly all night long. He doesn’t even bark to go outside, but will wait patiently to be left outside for pottying. 10/8 He is starting to look less sad and is showing an interest in playing with the kids. He is a loving gentle dog, who will nudge your hand to be petted and moan quietly when you stop. Brady’s foster mom says he is a great dog, not a mean bone in his body, and he is a real blessing to their family. 10/15 He is getting more playful, enjoys toys and tug of war, loves car rides and walks on leash. Brady's foster mom reports that he is ready for adoption and says: He is a very good dog. He will need to go to a home that can handle his skin condition because this is going to be a life long battle for him. The vet said that he may need to be on vetalog long term. He handles bathing extremely well and takes pills like a champ. The series of photos show how bad Brady looked when rescued and how is hair is growing back and he looks happy and so much less stressed. Most recent photos were put on to website on 1/13/2013.
