Sheena was found as a stray and is looking for her forever home. She is a black lab/hound mix, about 2 years old. Sheena adores children, but tends to be dominant with dogs. She is being trained to redirect her need to control situations. Sheena rides well in a car, loves her toys and is playful,and affectionate. She is very smart and needs a home where that will be appreciated and worked with. She enjoys her foster home where there is someone home most of the time.

Sheena had to have her back right left amputated after she was hit by a car a few months ago. She has healed very nicely and gets around well.

Her foster mom says, She gives lots of kisses and is a very loving girl. She LOVES children, of any age. She loves the sofa and being bundled up in blankets. She is afraid of stairs, she knows she can't make them. With coaxing she will jump in the car, jump on a sofa or bed, but needs a few feet clearance for the jump. She loves kissing and snuggling with anyone. Her foster dad recently suffered an injury and Sheena lays on his bed and keeps him company.

FOSTER UPDATE: When I get home from work Sheena smooches me to death. She would be perfect for a family with a yard and plenty of kids. Sheena adores children. She loves to lay on the sofa and be petted, she loves to be covied up! What a sweet girl. She loves to ride, I take her and Tippy Doo for a ride when I get home from work a couple times a week.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
