Jake is a 4 year old male neutered Jack Russell/Pug.  Jake will be 5 years old in July 2012.  Jakes owners work long hours and are unable to care for him.  As a result, he is about 15-20 pounds overweight.  Jake is full of energy and would love to find a home where he can get more exercise and attention.  He roams the house freely while his present owners are at work and he does not get into trouble. Jake is house trained and sits nicely when traveling in the car. His owners do not have a yard so the only exercise Jake gets is when he is taken for a walk.  Jake has no history of biting or any other aggression. He has been exposed to children and other dogs on occasion but not on a daily basis. He has not been around cats.  On evaluation, Jake seemed to crave attention and it is evident this fellow is not getting the attention that he needs and wants.  When walked, Jake pulls at first but as he settles into his walk and works off some energy he begins to walk very nicely.  Jake needs more than 15 minutes of exercise per day to wear off some energy and decrease his "waistline".   Jake likes other dogs and is gentle enough that you can put your hand in his dish when he is eating and he won"t growl or snap."

Won't you give Jake the home he needs and deserves.  He'll make a great companion.

Stay tuned for more info from his foster mom:
