Mac is 2 years old. Our best guess is that he is a Min-pin / Manchester Terrier cross. He was abandoned along with an 8 week old kitten for 4 days with no food or water.
He is social with people, a little barky at first. He loves attention. He rides well in the car, and upon meeting his foster mom and foster dog sister he did well.
Mac is housetrained and is now neutered and completely vetted. He is ready for his forever home. He needs to learn to walk better on a leash, but he's a smart little guy who should respond well to training and leadership. He'll fill your lap with love.
Mac deserves a home to call his own, a lap to rest his head on and a yard to run in. We do not know how he is with kids, so we recommend older children, no toddlers. Before filling out an application for adoption, please research the breed to see if he would be the right fit for your family.
Foster Update: Mac has been a very good boy. He is energetic, loves to run and jump and chase balls outside. Not good at giving them back yet, but he is a work in progress. Started basic obedience with him and he's doing great. He is a smart boy. I had a houseful of people last weekend and he was barky but friendly. My 6 & 8 yr. old nieces were there and he was fine with them. They were on the floor with him and I didn't see any problems. As I said he is very active and jumpy, but he calms down fairly quickly. He will need continued training and work on a leash, but he is a delightful, happy little guy. Gets along great with other dogs.
