Meet Bacardi! Bacardi is already learning the ropes of being a well-mannered pup and is rocking her basic training: she knows sit, stay, wait, come, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night (yes, a full 8 hours without a potty break!), and she’s incredibly food motivated, which makes training a breeze. She gets along great with other dogs but would also thrive as your one-and-only. Her main goal in life is to make her humans happy. Now, Bacardi does have a few quirks—what self-respecting pup doesn’t? She’s not a fan of small, fast-moving creatures so we are unsure how she would do with cats, and she may not roll out the welcome mat for strangers right away—she takes her job as "home protector" seriously and may bark or be wary, especially with unfamiliar visitors. She may occasionally want to keep toys to herself when she’s feeling a little overwhelmed, especially around other dogs who don’t pick up on her cues. That said, she’s very comfortable with her people and is happy to let her humans take toys or her food without a fuss. It seems like she’s just asking for a little personal space now and then—especially when her playful foster sister doesn’t quite know when to give her a break. If you’re patient, consistent, and ready to give her structure and love, Bacardi will give you her whole heart in return.
