Don’t let Toby Keith’s birthday fool you—he may be 10 years young, but he acts like a much younger dog!

While Toby does qualify for a senior discount adoption fee, Toby is full of life and energy. With his short little legs, he walks briskly and can go for long distances—way more fun tan walking alone on a treadmill!

Toby is an equal-opportunity snuggler, happily settling into any available lap—man, woman, or child. Weighing in at 15 pounds, he has a face that looks like it belongs on Sesame Street, with a soft, shiny coal-black coat. Accented by white markings on his front feet, chin, and chest, Toby is one handsome dude who could easily be mistaken for a plush stuffed toy!

Though he has lost vision in his right eye, it doesn’t slow him down or bother him one bit. He quickly integrated into a pack of five dogs that includes males and females of various sizes. While he’s not currently living with cats, he was cat-tested and showed excitement to meet them without any signs of aggression.

Toby is an excellent road trip companion and a smart little guy—he quickly learned to use the doggie door. A puppy mill survivor, he had never lived in a house before being rescued, but he’s mastered the art of pottying outside and is thoroughly enjoying the good life indoors.

He’s also a perfect bed buddy who sleeps soundly beside his person all night. Crate-trained and quiet, Toby loves nothing more than a good belly rub!

Toby Keith is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA 17857. All Haven to Home dogs are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Toby even had a dental done about a year and a half ago.

If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
