About Bear

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
Bear is a Shepherd Mix who presently weighs 90 lbs. He was found as a stray, and still seems a little lost, but no one claimed him. The vet estimated him to be between 6-8 years old. His teeth look really good and, other than some hot spots on his back, he is healthy. He is on meds for that and with good and care, the fur should grow back quickly. He could lose a few pounds, and will undoubtedly do that in his active foster home. He is quite the gentleman; he knows how to sit and shake, is housebroken, doesn't beg at the table, and is adjusting well in his foster home. The first night there, at bedtime, he followed dad and his canine brother to bed, and laid down beside the bed on the floor and stayed there all night. He is playing with his younger foster brother and did fine when some canine visitors came. In typical Shepherd fashion, he has figured out who the person in charge is, and planted himself at foster dad's side. A great dog, looking for a loving forever home who will be as devoted to him as he will be to them.
