This is Miles. He is about 1 year old, approximately 60 pounds, and probably a shepherd mix.

You may remember seeing his picture a few weeks ago when we posted him on our Facebook page and listed him in the local newspaper as "found" after he was picked up by area police.  His crime you ask?   A stray.  :( 

Since then, his list of offenses has grown.  Crate destruction. Chewing doors, removing window screens to chase after cats.    Oh, but he is so smart!  How smart you ask? He can open car windows and even a sliding glass door!

Miles is sweet as pie when someone is home with him.  He is great with kids. He is fine around the other dog in the foster home.  He is housetrained.  He is a great foot warmer and loves lap time, too. 

Now we don’t have to wonder anymore why someone would dump a gorgeous dog like this.  Separation Anxiety.  

The foster family has tried and tried and even had help from their extended family.  But they have to go to work and they are at a point now where they are afraid he is going to get hurt.   Miles needs a place to go where someone is home most of the time, where there are no cats, and where he can be securely contained when left home alone. Of course, with people who will keep his mind and body exercised to help keep him out of trouble.  Are you up for the challenge of giving this sweet, handsome boy a chance?   He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is microchipped.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
