Nothing LIKE a hound dog!

Meet Ruby Rae.  She is a 3 year old Coonhound that had spent her entire life outside.  She didn't quite pass the hunting test, so she was given up by her previous owner.  Ruby has adjusted quite well to indoor living in her foster home and is quite a QUIET hound dog :)  She is a little hesitant with strangers at first but warms up to them quickly.  Her foster reports that she has great house manners, is crate and house trained.  She has a lovely personality and is full of life!  Ruby would love a new home that has a fenced in yard where she could enjoy sniffing safely.  Her foster is working on leash training and teach 'leave it' to deter her from over sniffing on her walks ;)

Ruby lived with three children, actually seeming to prefer their company over adults. She also lived with other dogs in a small enclosure and was fine with them.  She is OK with dog-savvy cats and does well in her foster home with the leave it command.  

Ruby Rae is UTD on vaccines, spayed, on flea and heartworm preventative and ready to go to her forever home!

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
