CALLING ALL HOUND LOVERS! Bristol is a beautiful 1 year old, 60 pound hound mix. In fact, there are so many hound breeds in this little lady, it is a wonder her nose ever comes up from the ground...but it does! When it does, she is happy to meet everyone, animal and human alike! She is currently living on a farm with chickens, dogs, cats and horses,oh my! She lived with children in her former home.
This girl has a super sniffer and so will need a human who is willing to help Bristol both to use that super power for good such as nose work or hunting.
Her foster mom reports she is friendly with people and very good with other dogs. She does have a strong prey drive with small animals. She is good with horses on the farm where she is fostered. She really loves her chew toys!
Bristo has the familiar hound howl and will bark when left alone. Bristol is crate trained but does not seem fond of the crate and so her foster mom is working on making the crate a fun place for her to relax.
As is typical of the breed, she is very stubborn; but, her foster mom is establishing herself as the leader and Bristol is responding well to this. She does jump quite a bit but is easily corrected and she knows sit which helps to deter the jumping. She is not food aggressive but is food driven; so her foster mom is using this to her advantage with training.
Bristol is spayed, housetrained, and UTD on vaccines.
