Jake was found as a stray and sadly the owner didn't want him back.
He has a typically delightful hound dog personality. His hound dog howl will alert you to any intruders coming to your home.
He is presently a resident at our holding kennel and is doing well with the other residents there. He and Jock (mastiff mix) have become walking pals. He does well walking on a gentle leader and he learned "sit" in a day. Other obedience work continues on a daily basis and he is proving to be a great student.
Jake's tail constantly wags and he seems thrilled to have so much attention. After spending much time crated at his former home, he is enjoying four walks a day We're told that he lived with children and cats and did fine with both other than occasionally knocking over a little human because of his puppy exuberance.
He did great at a recent vet visit where his vaccinations were updated; the vet estimated him to be around 13 months old and described him as "a really nice boy". Jake will be neutered on April 13, and then he will be ready to go to his forever home.
