Meet Shadow!  He is 3 1/2 year old Cockapoo.  He has to find a new home because of illness in his human family.  Shadow is actually quite an easy pup for the human looking for their own personal canine “shadow”.

What prospective adopters should know about Shadow:

He makes friends easily with other dogs, after a little barking and carrying on, nothing aggressive, just a little excitement.

Shadow has never been kenneled and is not destructive when given free roam of the house in his human’s absence.

He will go CRAZY when he sees a squirrel and tries to chase cars.

He loves to play fetch with a ball and even jumped a bit at the television during the World Series in an attempt to catch some balls.

Shadow sleeps in bed with his human or sometimes just somewhere near his human.

He can sometimes be a little difficult to groom, pulling and being a bit jerky in his movements.

He loves going on rides in the car but if those rides end up at the vet…he will always pooh as soon as he steps inside the office.

Shadow has a chip which his current family will cooperate to transfer to his new humans name.

When our volunteer met Shadow, he was a little excited but quickly calmed down and was laying on the floor sleeping within about 10 minutes of the H2H volunteer’s arrival.   He jumped a bit but not heavily and not aggressively.  He does not really know any commands but with some consistency would easily learn.

If you are looking for you very own canine “shadow”, please consider giving this sweet guy a forever home!
