Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Bentley is a 2 year old lab mix. He is quite handsome with a soft, short-haired black coat with brown/brindle on his feet and nose.  He came to us when his owner’s health declined and could no longer care for Bentley.   He is in a foster home with a cat.  They have progressed from Bentley being afraid of the cat, to now napping on the sofa at the same time. He likes it when the 2 year old grandchild comes to visit and enjoys the teens coming and going. 

Bentley loves it that his foster home has a stay-at-home mom as he is not fond of being left alone for long periods.  He is housetrained and does not use a crate: he sleeps on the sofa at night. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys multiple walks every day. He is an affectionate lap dog and is playful. Bentley would probably be better in a home without very small children.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
