| From Margery: "This quilt was pieced and quilted on a 1947 Singer Sewing Machine. I purchased the machine at an estate auction 40 years ago. It has been used to make clothing and Halloween costumes for my children, as well as to reupholster furniture and more. I enjoyed reading the notes that came with it from the first owner and her little hints on how to use the machine. The quilt is not as perfect as what would be created by today's automated machines, but it was made with love for the reason of its creation - to support Haven to Home's commitment to provide safety and a good long life to abandoned and mistreated animals." |
