Patty is under a year old and about 35 pounds.  She is a beautifully built trim girl who LOVES to meet new people.  She is very curious, seems to learn quickly, and is eager to please, and likes gathering her toys together when she plays.

Patty spent several weeks at our holding kennel, where she charmed the volunteers with her antics. She keept her kennel clean (well, except for playing in water sometimes or shredding up some paper if it's in reach), but no messes,  and learned to walk nicely on a leash.  She enjoyed walking with the other dogs at the kennel and was curious to meet newcomers. She did spend some time in a foster home and after a few days became possessive of food and toys, so she came back to the kennel.  She also did not do well with the cat there, proving our observation that because of the way she chasied leaves and was attentive to anything that moved,  that she does indeed have a high prey drive.  That foster home said of her, "Patty is very loving and sweet. Loves to run and play. She would make a great companion!"

She recently went to a new foster home where she is living with a big male dog (H2H Alumni Mason), a very young child, and a cat.  So far, so good with that cat.  Her new foster family sent this update, "Her foster mom sent us this update just a few days into it: "She is doing great for us. She sleeps in our bedroom on one of the dog beds we have. We are trying to teach her to not get on the furniture. She loves Mason. If we let him out to pee she whines at the door until we let him back in. She is still trying to figure out our cat, she tries to chase her around. But I think she is also afraid of the cat. I read the commands she is used to when we were getting her from the kennel. We have gotten her to understand down (lay down). She follows Mason after he does it. And she is learning stay as well. She will be a great dog for someone who has another young dog as we do or who has time to devote to her.""

Patty will definitely make an awesome companion and will need a home with a good pack leader.
